A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a mistake. The drawback of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this issue can be rectified by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also essential to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox easily if you have a shared website hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet really easy to use, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each of them you’ll notice a mini "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it for a second time will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another one with this option activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not want the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
